Marian Mentrup specialized in music and sounddesign for film after having worked in several areas such as theatre, advertising and interactive sound installations. In 2004 he began to study sound engineering at the HFF Konrad Wolf film school in Potsdam Babelsberg and started freelancing in different local post production facilities.
Marian was born neither with any respect for musical categories nor rules for sound and music production. He composes and produces different types of individual soundtracks - from experimental soundsscapes to italian 80ies pop music.
Marian's work could be heard on film festivals like IDFA Amsterdam, Berlinale, Cannes, Annecy, ITFS Stuttgart, DOK Leipzig, Siggraph LA or on arte, zdf, and sat1 television.
